“Okhmatdyt” rehab aqua zone
One of the hospitals supported by our Foundation is the Okhmatdyt National Children’s Specialized Hospital. It’s a famous medical facility that admits more than 20 thousand children every year. Today, children injured by russian military aggression are also among its patients.
Aside from the challenges caused by war, the hospital faces other issues. For example, due to the lack of funding, the hospital’s aqua zone hasn’t been used for 30 years. That’s why UAH 352814.00 were directed to the restoration of the aqua zone. Construction works have begun, hopefully as soon as spring 2023 thousands of children will start undergoing rehabilitation.
UAH 101557.02 was used to buy an ECGpro Holter ECG monitoring system and a Holter monitor BS6930-3, while UAH 124620.00 will be spent on 2 cannulated drills for the microsurgery department. However, there’s more. Gynecology, ophthalmology, and otolaryngology departments need to repair and replace old diagnostic equipment.
Thanks to meetings with Volodymyr Zhovnir, General Director of the Okhmatdyt Hospital, and Yevhen Vember, Chairman of the Okhmatdyt – Healthy Childhood Charitable Foundation, we stay informed about the hospital’s needs. The Mission Ukraine Foundation together with Mr.Zhovnir and Mr.Vember are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed.
Among the donors are our friends who attended the Christmas Charity Brunch at the Palais Hansen Kempinski Hotel and helped us raise UAH 216,000. Among them are Iryna Halay, co-founder of the foundation Marysya Gorobets, Olga Dvoryanskaya, Yana Hryniv, Tetiana Pytailo, Olena Borysova, Nadiya Dumka, Mariya Yaslinska, Iva Nerolli, Natalia Gromer, Tanya Tucha, Katya Lyubchik, Tatiana Ramus, Anastasiia Zernova.
Special thanks to the American Foundation RTQ (Refuse to Quit), which donated $20,000 to restore the aqua zone. Thanks to these caring people and organizations, thousands of children will be able to experience the joy of a healthy life. Because TOGETHER POSSIBLE!
