Taking the First Step in Business: Online Session with Anastasiia Zernova

On June 25, as part of the “Veteran Path” program, we held our first inspiring online session focused on launching a business after military service. The event brought together veterans with business ideas who were looking for guidance on how to begin.

Our guest speaker was Anastasiia Zernova — a Ukrainian-licensed attorney, international business mediator, and consultant who supports entrepreneurs even in wartime. With her extensive experience in private and national projects, crisis management, and working with authorities, Anastasiia shared valuable insights tailored to those ready to take their first steps in business.

During the session, we discussed:

  • How to quickly and easily register a business using Diia.Business

  • Legal aspects to consider when launching a business

  • Where to find business support programs, including those specifically for veterans

  • How to build partnerships in Ukraine and abroad

  • How to create a business plan based on your values and long-term strategy

Special attention was given to the first step — how to move from an idea to action. Participants received not only practical advice but also a strong dose of motivation.

“It wasn’t just a conversation — it was a breath of fresh air and a boost of confidence. Anastasiia shared her experience with sincerity and professionalism, answering questions and encouraging veterans to act. It was exactly what many of us needed to start building a new life,” — shared one of the participants.

We are deeply grateful to Anastasiia Zernova for her openness and expertise, and to all participants for their trust and engagement.

📌 A follow-up session with Anastasiia Zernova will take place next month. Stay tuned for updates — it’s another opportunity to ask your questions and get support on your business journey.
